Why Neurodivergent Folks Deserve Coaches Who 'Get It'
If you’re neurodivergent, you’ve probably spent a lot of your life trying to fit into a system that was never built for you. Things like school, relationships, work, and even therapy can feel completely out of place for you. You’re not alone in feeling this way. Because of this, when you’re looking for a life coach it’s easy to wonder, “Will this person understand how my brain works? WIll they judge me for missing deadlines, zoning out, masking, etc.?”
You deserve more than generic advice. You deserve support that understands you from the inside out. Here’s why ND folks deserve a coach who gets them wholeheartedly:
Coaching isn’t one-size-fits-all — and neither are ND brains.
Coaching isn’t designed to be a one-size-fits-all cure for the problems you’re facing. ND brains especially are not one-size-fits-all. You’re not lazy. You’re not unmotivated. Your brain just processes the world differently - that is something a good coach will recognize, adapt to, and celebrate.
Whether you’re dealing with time blindness, rejection senstivity dyphoria, sensory overload, or the “all-or-nothing” thinking pattern, coaching should be flexible enough to meet you as your are - not expect you to bend into a neurotypical mold.
ND-aware coaching looks like...
Using body doubling or structured check-ins instead of shame
Breaking goals into actually manageable chunks
Making room for rest, meltdowns, and executive dysfunction without calling them “failures”
Exploring identity without judgment
Working at your pace — with compassion
This isn’t about pushing you to hustle harder. It’s about helping you thrive on your own terms.
You're not too much — and you're not alone.
A lot of us grew up feeling “too sensitive,” “too distracted,” or “too weird.” But coaching with someone who shares your values and speaks your language can be the difference between feeling like a project… and finally feeling like a person again.
Conclusion:
You don’t need to mask or explain yourself here. My coaching is ND-affirming, queer-friendly, and radically human.
Let’s build something that works for you, not just in theory — but in real life.
